Blue Crab Bay Company

Blue Crab Bay Co., a nationally known specialty food business located in a rural coastal community on Virginia's Eastern Shore, was founded in 1985 by Pamela Barefoot in her farmhouse kitchen. Today, Blue Crab Bay Co. is a Certified Woman Business Enterprise with International Sales. In June of 1999, Pamela was named Virginia's Small Business Person of the Year and received a very heavy trophy from the Governor of Virginia. Of the 50 nationwide winners, Pamela was the only representative from the gourmet food trade. A portion of Blue Crab Bay Company sales is donated to the Chesapeake Bay Foundation.
