Hurd Orchards
One hundred and seventy years ago, the Hurd family ancestors crossed the Genesee River by raft and settled near what was to be the village of Holley, New York. They established farms in the rich soil of Western New York. Today, the mother and daughter team of Susan and Amy Machamer operate this woman-owned farm, jam kitchen and cannery. They produce an extensive line of homemade preserves, brandied fruits, herb and fruit vinegars, condiments, canned fruits and sauces made from the produce grown on the farm.
