In 1970 Guinness McFadden decided against a future in pin-striped suits and city offices to seek out a new living in the country. The McFadden family settled in to a life of hard work and enviable happiness on a special piece of ground nestled against the headwaters of the Russian River in Mendocino County, CA. Here in Potter Valley lies McFadden Farm.
As Guinness learned the ropes of farming, he became convinced that he didn't need, or want, the chemical pesticides and herbicides so common in modern agriculture. He pursued more natural farming methods, joined the California Certified Organic Farmers, and kept his small farm in tune with nature, a safe place for the family and its crops.
McFadden Farm is proud to present the only line of Organic Herb Blends in the world! The permanent committee for the prestigious Monde Selection has selected McFadden Farm's Organic Herbs as the world's finest line of dried herbs and awarded the coveted gold medal.
At no time have any chemical fertilizers, pesticides or preservatives been used in the growing or processing of their herbs.
